Melbourne house prices up, new house building down in QLD
Construction is in full swing on the new Melbourne house market, with the average price of a house in the state up to $3.25 million.
The average price in Qld was $2.94 million, up from $2 million in the previous quarter.
The rise comes as a number of other Australian states have seen house prices surge, including Western Australia and the ACT, while Queensland and the Northern Territory have seen a decrease.
